This deck was created for Father's Day by a woman who asked that her name not be included. This is a rather simple design with only 4 pictures on the front and one on the back, but a few well chosen pictures often makes a better impact than a large number of weaker pictures and she did a number of things that made her cards stand out as an exceptional design.

The first thing that catches my attention is the fact that the pictures are all planned to go with both Father's Day and the card theme. The picture on the back with the kids playing cards immediately sets the mood that playing cards is a fun activity. |

Dressing the girls as queens, the older boy as a card shark, and the youngest boy as a health fanatic eating his fiber, shows that a lot of care went into the creation of this deck. Involving the kids in the creation process makes this more than just a gift from Mom where the kids add their names to the gift.
From a photographic standpoint, it's refreshing to see that she used a very plain background in all the pictures with nothing that distracts from her kids. The final thing that she did right was to take the pictures in a well lighted area where the light comes from several different directions to minimize the presence of distracting shadows. |
